Christine Ingram is currently a counselor at Omaha Trauma Therapy. A proud graduate of Capella University, she was inspired to pursue a career in psychology after not finding a therapist who understood her needs as a woman of color. Along with working at Omaha Trauma Therapy, she is a Predoctoral Psychology Intern at a local hospital where she is responsible for conducting initial intakes for new patients to determine services, providing individual/family psychotherapy services, conducting psychoeducation to help individuals and families understand mental health disorders, completing brief cognitive assessments, and screening to determine cognitive and behavioral barriers to treatment. Her hospital training allows her to have a good grasp of the way medical issues can impact mental health.
As a future Psychologist, Christine is partnering with Omaha Trauma Therapy to bring a doctoral perspective that helps to uncover the complexities of human behavior and overcome mental health challenges. Christine believes that everyone deserves access to quality mental healthcare and she is passionate about narrowing the gap in mental health disparities. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and growth in the field of psychology by utilizing the Scholar-Practitioner model and innovative techniques at the doctorate level to address the unique needs of each individual. Christine’s ultimate goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of her clients, helping them to cultivate resilience and lead fulfilling lives.
In her free time, she can be found reading, meditating, and going for long walks.
