Leslie Alexander, LMHP, LCSW Therapist

My name is Lesli Alexander, PCMSW, PLMHP and I am a Mental Health Therapist and Social Worker! I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I took a year off between my bachelors and masters degree to really focus in on what I was wanting to do professionally and worked as a family support worker. This job made me fall in love with the field of social work and I went on to get my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I have worked in a lot of different areas in the field of social work such as family support work, therapy through a detention facility, nursing home and now I’m currently working as a therapist on an inpatient psychiatric unit. I typically utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and a strengths based perspective. I work through the lens of trauma informed care so that everyone I work with feels safe in sharing because sharing and opening up is not an easy task. I truly believe each and every treatment plan is going to be completely individualized because no person is the same and I want to help you in the best way that works for you.

I am an extremely family oriented person and spend most of my free time at the lake with my parents and siblings. I have one sister and one brother who are my absolute best friends. I enjoy attending sporting events and my favorite teams would consist of anything Huskers, Steelers, and Celtics. I also am big into running and partake in a few running clubs in my spare time.

I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you and making sure you story is heard and you can begin the process of healing. You are never alone and I would love to be involved in your therapeutic process!
