Lamonte Foreman-Powell, LIMHP, LPC, NCC Therapist

I’m a U.S. Army veteran, wounded warrior, and proud military spouse originally from Norfolk, Virginia. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha, where I graduated as Student Marshal of the Winter Class of 2022.

As a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups—especially those in the military, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities. My integrative approach combines CBT, REBT, DBT, and C-DBT, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

I provide telehealth services through Omaha Trauma Therapy, LLC from Honolulu, Hawaii, and occasionally travel to Omaha for in-person sessions. I approach therapy with a holistic, biopsychosocial lens, using humor and compassion to foster healing and growth.

Fun fact: Before becoming a therapist, I was a Certified Professional Baker and Pastry Chef—cooking is still one of my favorite ways to unwind. If you feel like I would be a great fit, please feel free to contact us here.
